The Elite Engineer Summer Camp
Get a well-rounded, hands-on experience in practical skills and engineering essentials. This program is designed to help students discover their interests, build confidence, and develop independence through real-world learning.
What specific skills or knowledge will the students gain?
Students will gain a combination of technical, practical, and personal development skills through immersive, hands-on activities:
• Day 1: Tool Handling & Basic Repairs
Learn how to safely use essential tools such as drills and hammers, and gain confidence in performing basic household repairs.
• Day 2: Future Builders
Students will become engineers for the day. They will learn how to read civil drawings and how the structure of each building is built. Students will get a hands-on experience in building their first home!
• Day 3: Electrical Basics
This is not about building circuits, this day is dedicated to instilling electrical basics in students. They will learn how to strip wires, connect wires, what are fuses, and how to problem solve electrical malfunctions.
• Day 4: Public Speaking & Presentation Skills
Being an engineer is not just about having technical knowledge, it is about having the skills to present ideas and sell their ideas to the public. This course will work with each student to get over their presenting fears and learn how to shift their focus and elevate their confidence when in front of a crowd.
• Day 5: Automotive Maintenance
Students will become mechanics for the day and will learn how to do basic maintenance checks on vehicles. They will also get a brief understanding of how cars operate and what careers exist in automotive and motorsports. Students will then receive a certificate for their completion of Elite Engineer Academy!
• Confidence & Independence
Develop self-reliance through hands-on learning and practical life skills.
