A three-day camp dedicated to exploring the wondrous forms of literature. The inaugural Summer Literature Fest at House of Wisdom celebrates the many forms of literary expression, from symbols and novels to paintings, comics, and even electronic literature.
Discover the history of the codex, explore flash fiction, learn to read comics and art as literature, and create your own interactive stories through workshops led by experts in the field.
Day One - August 14

This session explores the technologies of text, how our understanding of text has evolved throughout history, and how these developments continue to shape the way we read today. Participants will create their own interactive story, unlocking new possibilities for understanding and practicing the art of storytelling.
Day Two - August 15
More than Words
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Day Two explores comics in depth, revealing how words and images come together to create compelling narratives. Participants will leave with an original comic inspired by their own ideas and creativity.
Day Three - August 16
Beyond the Binding
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Day Three brings together flash fiction, poetry, and the physical form of the book, where every element, from words and illustrations to materials and design, becomes part of the storytelling experience.
