An exciting series of space-themed workshops for young explorers can unleash their imagination and discover the wonders of the cosmos through hands-on activities.
From designing colorful galaxy-inspired tie-dye creations to exploring the solar system and sculpting imaginative alien creatures, each activity brings a new adventure filled with creativity, discovery, and fun!
9 October | Cosmic Shirt:
Children will design wearable galaxy-inspired artwork using fabric colors, sponges, and star stencils.
Participants will create colorful nebula effects on dark T-shirts and personalize their designs with planets, stars, or rockets.
16 October | Miniature Planetary Masterpiece:
Children will embark on an imaginary journey through the solar system, discovering eight planets and their unique characteristics. Each participant will create a hanging solar system mobile using lightweight spheres, paints, and decorative materials.
The activity combines basic astronomy with creative expression, allowing children to visualize the planets and understand their relative positions.
23 October | Meet My Little Martian:
Children will imagine discovering life on a distant planet and design a creature that could survive in an unfamiliar environment.
They will choose their planet's characteristics, such as temperature, atmosphere, and terrain, before sculpting an imaginary alien creature using air-dry clay.
Participants will explain how their creature's body features help it survive in its environment.
