Inspired by Ahmad Ibn Majid, the celebrated Arab navigator, this program series explores the fascinating world of marine navigation, astronomy, cartography, maritime engineering, historical manuscripts, and seafaring adventures.
The aim is to bring the SIBF theme to life at House of Wisdom through hands-on, educational, and interactive workshops, where children become explorers, navigators, engineers, mapmakers, and storytellers.

Map of the Great Voyage
In this hands-on workshop, young explorers will become cartographers as they design their own 3D maritime maps using clay. From towering mountains and mysterious islands to textured oceans and miniature sailing vessels, children will bring their landscapes to life while discovering the fascinating world of maps, geography and marine navigation.
